Researchers have consistently found that teachers have a relatively small impact on student academic achievement (the latest research found that we comprise 14% of all those factors) even though it often feels like we can get 100% of the blame when things go south.
Today, Matt Barnum, an excellent journalist with Chalkbeat, did a review of studies finding what social policy programs (outside-of-school) can have a positive impact on student academic achievement.
